Email verification for Salesforce

Find the addresses that bounce before you send. Mailcut checks syntax, domain, mail server, disposable providers and the mailbox itself, without sending a message.

  • Free credits to start
  • No plugin to install

How every integration works

  1. In Salesforce create a report of your Leads or Contacts with the email field and export it as a CSV (Details Only).
  2. Upload the CSV to the bulk verifier and pick the email column.
  3. Download the results: valid, invalid and risky files.
  4. Use the Data Import Wizard or Data Loader to update the invalid records, for example by setting Email Opt Out or a status field you choose.
  5. Mark the risky file with a custom status and review it before sending.

A tip: Include the record Id in the export so the import can update the right records.

What the results mean

ValidThe mailbox exists. Send.
InvalidThe address cannot receive mail. Remove it.
RiskyAccepts mail but cannot be confirmed, for example a catch-all domain. Send in small batches and watch bounces.
UnknownThe server did not answer. Retry later.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a Salesforce package?

No, nothing to install. You export, verify and import.

Which records should I verify?

Start with leads you plan to contact and contacts that have not been mailed for a while.

Will this create duplicates?

Not if you update by record Id instead of inserting new rows.
