Email verification for Make

Find the addresses that bounce before you send. Mailcut checks syntax, domain, mail server, disposable providers and the mailbox itself, without sending a message.

  • Free credits to start
  • One HTTP request per address

How every integration works

  1. Create a scenario with your trigger, for example a new form response or a new spreadsheet row.
  2. Add the module HTTP, Make a request. Method GET, URL https://mailcut.io/api/v1/verify?email= followed by the email field from your trigger.
  3. Under Headers add Authorization with the value Bearer YOUR_API_KEY, and set Parse response to yes.
  4. Add a filter after it: continue only if the result field equals valid.
  5. Add your next module, for example Create a contact. Use a router if risky results should go to a review sheet.

A tip: Run the scenario once with a test row before you switch it on.

What the results mean

ValidThe mailbox exists. Send.
InvalidThe address cannot receive mail. Remove it.
RiskyAccepts mail but cannot be confirmed, for example a catch-all domain. Send in small batches and watch bounces.
UnknownThe server did not answer. Retry later.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to write code?

What does a check cost?

One credit per verification, also when the result is unknown. A malformed address returns an error and is not charged.
