Email verification

Email verification for Online stores

Keep order, shipping and cart emails from bouncing.

What usually goes wrong

Typos at checkout (gmial.com, a missing letter) that silently swallow order and shipping mails.
Discount-code hunters who sign up for the welcome offer with throwaway addresses.
Old newsletter lists that were never cleaned after a platform migration.
An example

Before a seasonal sale the store exports its newsletter subscribers, verifies the file and removes the invalid addresses. The campaign goes out to a cleaner list, and the first bounce report after the send is the one to compare with the previous sale.

How to do it with Mailcut

  1. Export your customers and newsletter subscribers from your store platform as a CSV.
  2. Upload the file to the bulk verifier and pick the email column.
  3. Remove the invalid file from your list. Keep the risky file apart and send to it in small batches first.
  4. For new sign-ups, check the address at the form through the API so a typo can be corrected while the customer is still on the page.

Frequently asked questions

Can I check the address while the customer is checking out?

Yes. The API checks one address per request, so your checkout can ask the customer to correct an address that comes back invalid. The API is available from your account.

Does verification stop discount abuse?

It flags disposable providers, which removes the cheapest way to create extra accounts. It does not stop someone who uses a real second mailbox.

How often should I clean the list?

Before every large campaign, and again for any list older than a few months. Mailboxes are closed and abandoned all the time.
